HOW IT WORKS

Size & Fit Guide

Find Your Perfect Fit

Choosing the right size is the most important part of renting a dress. We want you to feel confident and beautiful — so use this guide before you book.

How to Measure Yourself

You'll need a soft measuring tape. Measure over your underwear (not over clothing) and keep the tape comfortably snug — not tight.

  • Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
  • Waist: Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually about 20–23 cm below your waist.
  • Height: Stand barefoot against a wall. Note your height as it affects dress length.

Tip: Ask a friend to help — measurements taken by someone else are usually more accurate.

Brand Fit Notes

Each designer has its own cut and fit philosophy. Here's what to expect from the brands in our collection:

  • Zimmermann — Runs small to true to size. We recommend sizing up one size, especially through the bust. Their styles are often designed for a slim, narrow frame.
  • Bec & Bridge — Generally true to size with a bodycon, fitted silhouette. If you're between sizes, size up for comfort.
  • Cult Naked (Cult Gaia) — Sizes run small and are often unforgiving through the waist. Size up at least one size.
  • LN Family (Leo & Lin) — True to size with a relaxed, floaty cut. Standard AU sizing applies.
  • Scanlan Theodore — True to size with a tailored, structured fit. Consider sizing up if you prefer a less fitted feel.
  • La Marie — True to size. Romantic, flowing silhouettes with comfortable ease through the body.
  • Saboa Studios — True to size with a relaxed, contemporary cut.
  • Fenity — True to size. Mini and midi styles have a close fit through the bodice.

Tips for Renting the Right Size

  • When in doubt, size up. A slightly larger dress can be pinned or altered more easily than one that's too small.
  • Check the product description. Many listings include the model's height and the size they're wearing.
  • Consider the silhouette. Bodycon dresses require precise sizing; A-line and wrap styles are more forgiving.
  • Slim fit language means size up. If a listing says 'designed for a slim fit', we recommend going up one size from your usual.
